and timeless style. But occasionally a machine appears that embodies

Renowned
motorsports artist Tom Fritz has created an extraordinary painting that
captures the spirit of the country's premier gathering of classic
motorcycles and the people who ride them: AMA
Vintage Motorcycle Days, set for July 25-27 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
The Harley-Davidson Museum, located in Harley's hometown of
Milwaukee for nearly 105 years, opened its doors for the first time to
the public on July 12. The Museum opening kicked off with a
Harley-Davidson-style "ribbon cutting" ceremony in which a motorcycle
primary chain wrapped around a Museum tower was cut with an acetylene
torch. The festivities – including the Harley-Davidson, Inc. president
and CEO Jim Ziemer receiving his first tattoo, a 2008 Super Glide
Custom bike build-off, and live music – continued all weekend.
In 1931, Rudge-Whitworth sold a 500cc single with a
guarantee that it would go 100 mph. The company then backed up their pledge by inviting
owners who couldn't the ton to view and time a demonstration by factory rider on
the owner's bike.
