The American Motorcyclist Association has named Triumph, one of the most historic and popular names in motorcycling, as the 2008 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Marque of the Year.
After a decent race at Neeses, we were licking our chops to get to the
half mile. Honestly, we are very confident we can win at any half-mile
because the speed and danger excite me. Short tracks are fun, but I
really believe half-mile dirt track racing is the gem in the bunch. You
have to disregard the downsides of a mistake to go fast and I'm stupid
enough to do just that.
So, we roll off for the first heat race and I'm feeling pretty confident that
we can do pretty good on the Columbus Kaw/MotoWorld Racing KX250 in
70's Two Stroke. We get a pretty good start (2nd) and the guy to beat,
multi-time AHRMA champion Tom Morgan misses a gear on the start.
